First, we will meet for a free consultation. Here, we will discuss the full scope of your project. You will be asked questions such as: 

• What are the spaces you are interested in enhancing?
• Do you have any desired colour palettes I need to work within?
• Do you have a desired style of wall (i.e. board and batten, shiplap, etc.)?
• Do you have a budget to work within?
• Are there any additional elements you would like to have added (wallpaper and/or styling)?

Next, we will take measurements and request to snap some photos of your space(s). This is for design purposes and will not be shared with anyone without your consent.

We will then provide a rough sketch of the proposed design, and together we can make desired changes.

Then installation will commence. Here is an example install timeline for a single 9x10 wall:

Day 1: 

• Removal of any baseboards or existing trim if needed for the design. This may involve minor wall patching.
• Molding install as per design.
• Joint fill with wood filler.

Day 2:

• Sanding and second coat of joint filler if required. This is a meticulous and time consuming process to ensure high quality, seamless results. Dry time between coats is required.
• Second round of sanding with a finer grit.
• Caulking. Another very meticulous process which if done properly, will result in seamless transitions between molding and wall.

Day 3:

• Minimum two coats of paint and any touchups on existing trimwork.

This is a tricky one to answer, as every single wall will be a different size, style, material, labour intensity, and finish. 

Pricing varies based on the project scope, finishes, and materials. An average accent wall for a dining room in a typical suburban home might cost between $2,000 to $4,000.

The timeline depends on the project’s complexity. Some projects can take one day for install, with 2-3 days for finishing, while the average project can take around five days from planning to installation to completion. Not to worry as we will provide an estimated timeframe during your consultation.

We will show up with all the tools required, and get right to work. Ideally the space is cleared of furniture or objects. We treat your home like our own, being meticulous in keeping a tidy workspace throughout each workday, and before heading home for each evening. 

The best and easiest material we have found to work with is MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). It is a very versatile, flexible, paintable and stable material.

Yes, upon signing the contract, we ask for a 50% deposit to cover initial material costs. 

Yes, we provide a one-year warranty on material and workmanship. 

Immediately after installation, you only need to wipe down the surfaces with a clean, soft cloth to remove any dust  that may have settled. For long-term care, I recommend the following:

Regular dusting: Use a microfiber or soft cloth to dust your trimwork regularly.

Avoid harsh cleaners: Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners or simply water with a gentle soap for occasional cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers that could damage the finish.

Prevent moisture buildup: Be mindful of areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms. Make sure the area is well-ventilated to avoid warping or swelling over time.

Our painting services are only offered as the finishing touch for your accent wall installation.

Currently we offer installations that go beyond your standard home builder services (baseboard, crown molding, window trim, etc.). We do not currently install these as standalone items.
